Shrugged family, Anders Varner here. We find ourselves in an interesting place again.

A couple weeks ago we had Russell Berger on after his

firing departure from CrossFit headquarters. This week we find ourselves at Stratham CrossFit.

0:19.7

I don't know if Stratham fit this talking to Emily Abbott after her recent four-year band from CrossFit

0:24.9

for a failed drug test for performance enhancing drugs. Once again Doug was unable to be on the show

0:32.1

unfortunately. I think he would have brought a ton of depth and really good insight into this

0:38.6

conversation. So it's unfortunate but location and timing and the urgency of this interview we were

0:45.3

unable to get him in the room to be a part of it. Instead of focusing on how these drugs entered

0:55.4

into her system, one of my main goals of this was just taking this from the the fact that she failed

1:01.5

wrong and just keep it centered around the facts which is she 100% tested positive.

1:43.6

Most importantly though I think this is just a really small chapter in Emily Abbott's life. I think

1:48.6

she has a beautiful soul. There's a little thing that happens and it's really important that we do

1:54.4

all of our interviews in person because when you're in that room there's a little thing that goes

2:00.4

off in your brain. It's like the bullshit meter. And in interviewing her and being around her before

2:06.7

and after the interview I didn't have that bullshit meter go off. I thought she was really authentic.

2:12.4

I thought she was really genuine. I thought she was telling the truth. And that's all I can

2:18.1

really hope for is for her to tell her story in the best possible way she can. Nobody asked my opinion
