Welcome to a special emergency edition of Politics by Faith.

We woke up this morning to news that the president ordered strikes against Iran.

I want to share just a couple simple points for us to keep in mind as this all unfold.

First, Trump did this, the commander chief, did this on a Friday night.

He captured Maduro on a Friday night, Saturday morning as well.

It could be as simple as that just happened to be the moment where, for instance, we knew where Maduro was.

Or this could be the moment where a few Iranian leaders all happen to be together at the

same time and say place.

Just be a coincidence that it all happened on a Friday night, Saturday morning.

And or it happens to be on a day when the markets are closed and the pundits and most people are enjoying their weekend here in America.

Whether it's on purpose or whether it's very convenient.

The benefit of this is it gives everyone 48 hours to breathe and let some of the dust clear before everyone assesses.

I said this a couple weeks ago with the Obama's monkey video.

And I thought it again with this whole fake Team USA, you know, laughing at his joke,

controversy, whatever.

But my suggestion was that politicians, if they're ever asked about it, to wait 48 hours

before you give an answer.

Take 48 hours.

48 hours before you comment.

There's so much fog of war in the first 48 hours.
