0:54.1 | actually gave the procedural sedation. But there are going to be patients who are |
0:58.0 | super sick and yet still need some form of a sedation for a procedure. |
1:04.8 | And so that's what we're going to be talking about today. |
1:07.4 | Now, can we even do this in an emergency department or an ICU? |
1:12.1 | Well, let's deal with a former. |
1:14.0 | Most of the time, in most departments, |
1:16.4 | they'll do American Society of Anastasia, |
1:19.4 | ASA Class 1 or 2 people. |
1:21.6 | And these are people who are either healthy or they have mild |
1:23.6 | disease that's not really contributing to a significant threat to life or |
1:27.6 | particularly severe and then threes and fours are supposedly supposed to go to the operating room. |
