Hey folks, Scott Weingart here and this is an Amcred podcast today on the podcast massive

severe acetaminophen overdose Tylenol paracetamol.

This is another one of those life threatening toxicological ingestions that we should have

on the show.

We have, I think at the stage we have calcium chanoblocker and beta blocker overdose and

then a bunch of general talk stuff but we haven't gone through a lot of the specific

agents.

I'm pretty sure we did try cyclics.

Well now we'll add severe acetaminophen to the mix and now I rarely will do these tox

episodes alone unless it's dealing with the critical care side of things rather than

toxicology side.

So I need a toxicologist and I got an incredible toxicologist and that toxicologist is Emily

Austin.

Now, I first heard her many times on the EM cases show Anton Helman's amazing podcast and

he just did a stupendous episode on all things acetaminophen with Emily Austin and one

of her colleagues.

But I wanted to concentrate specifically on massive ingestion and I could actually send

you to Anton's show.
