I'm joined today as usual by Dr. Rick Hanson, Rick is a clinical psychologist, and a

best-selling author, and he's also my dad.

So dad, how are you doing today?

I'm doing really well for us, and as usual, happy to be doing this with you.

Yeah, I'm happy to be doing this with you too, and also so happy to be joined by today's

guest.

Today we're going to be focusing on navigating, and maybe even in some ways embracing, times

of change, uncertainty, and difficulty.

To help us do that, we're joined by a wonderful teacher, Kyra Joule Litgo.

Kyra Joule is a Buddhist teacher who weaves mindfulness and meditation practice with social

justice.

At the age of 25, she became a Buddhist nun at the Plum Village community in France under

the guidance of Zen Master Tick-Not-Hon, where she stayed for 15 years.

She became a Zen teacher in 2007, and is also a teacher in the Vipassana Insight tradition

through Spirit Rock Meditation Center.

She's also the author of the wonderful book We Were Made for These Times, Ten Lessons

for Moving Through Change, Loss, and Disruption, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading, and she

was the editor of Tick-Not-Hon's Planting Seeds, Practicing Mindfulness with Children.
