Hi, my name is Pete Gazzara. I want to welcome you today to the emotionally healthy

leader podcast. Today's theme is experiencing God's deep work in the lion's den, experiencing

God's deep work in the lion's den. Now, we're living in difficult times, a revolutionary,

actually, in terms of change.

There's a convergence of just so many crises at one time, but in particular, of course, is the

pandemic as it continues to drag on as we approach the end of the first year.

And who could have imagined it would be lasting this long,

and the implications as they still unfold are still happening. And so it's a season of shredding

and endings and things falling apart and undoing, actually of decay and limits.

And so our contribution here at emotionally healthy discipleship and this podcast,

the emotionally healthy leader, is really about discernment.

You know, what's God up to and what might scripture and how might God have us see it?

At the same time, it's all.

We're also about equipping you for this new day in which we find ourselves,

this rapidly changing world. And this requires a new level of discipleship, as well as a new level of

leadership. What may have functioned and worked before, inadequate as it may have been,

in terms of shallowness or superficiality, it is now very clear that the way that we have been

doing discipleship as well as, is inadequate for where we are

in this large transition in which we find ourselves. So you'll always find myself pointing you to a new
