Hi, it's Andy here and welcome to Radio Headspace and to Wednesday morning.

I don't know if you have children you'll know that your children get described to you

by other parents, by teachers, are school-inal kinds of different ways.

Over the years, my kids are still very young, but our eldest is particularly energetic,

quite excitable, and invariably gets described as unconventional in nature and as someone

who has lived quite unconventional life for myself, I don't mind that too much.

I think there's something to be embraced there, something to almost celebrate in some way.

When I was reminded of this a couple of days back when a teacher from a school that I used

to go to, so I don't know this teacher, they reached out via social media, it was the

high school that I used to go to, so it's a good distant memory, it's a very, very long

time ago.

Anyway, she wrote to me and she shared that they were studying me in her class today,

I don't really know what that means, I don't know what they're learning in school these

days.

I think they were learning mindfulness and this was teasing the mindfulness session, but

anyway, she said she was sat down with her students and they were looking at sort of

the main elements of my resume CV, life, whatever you want to call it.

And she said the kids were really surprised when they heard that first I'd done a lot

of travelling and then I'd gone to university and then I'd given that up and I'd become

a monk and then I went to the circus and then I became an entrepreneur and all these

kind of different things.

For me it's not strange as for all of us, if we're living it, it's just a life we've
