0:00.0	People were like diagnosing me in my comment sections and I thought that they were insulting me and I couldn't figure out what was going on.
0:07.2	And then I was like, that's wild. There's no way I'm autistic. And then I like started researching it and it became like a special interest of mine, which should have told me something at the beginning.
0:19.3	I was basically trying to prove that diagnosis that I thought I was going to be receiving wrong,
0:24.6	as if there was like an issue with it.
0:26.1	I don't know why I was struggling so much with it.

0:47.5	In fact, one in every 31 kids in the United States has an autism diagnosis.
0:53.6	That's according to the CDC, and it's so much more frequent than when I was a kid.
0:58.0	Now, there are so many reasons for this, and many of them we probably don't even know.
1:03.0	But one really big reason is that a lot of kids just didn't get diagnosed.
1:08.0	And that's why so many adults are receiving diagnosis today.

1:18.3	Elise Myers. Elise sought out her own diagnosis, which she received earlier this year. She's 31 years
1:24.9	old. Now you might know Elise from Instagram or TikTok. She first
1:30.3	went viral in 2021 with this great video about this first date she had where she bought
1:36.4	the guy 100 tacos. Now since then, Elise has grown to have millions of followers who love
1:43.3	her vivid storytelling, her really authentic expression.
