My name is Rob Maower. We've got a lot to cover so we're just gonna hop right into it.

Tesla's stock on the day today finished down 0.24% to $353.47.

This was actually a pretty strong performance because the NASDAQ was down 3.03% on the day,

the fifth worst day for the NASDAQ so far this year.

I think what we saw today in terms of Tesla's relative strength is just a continuation of what we've been seeing over the last few weeks.

I think Tesla overall on an individual stock basis is strong right now and is slated to continue to be strong.

I don't think any news in particular from today was driving it.

That being said we actually do have quite a bit of news before we get to the Tesla specific news.

Wanted to update on a couple of things happening with other automakers.

First, we'll turn our attention back to VW.

Volkswagen CEO again made headlines today alongside Daimler CEO as well as BMW CEO when the German

Minister of Economic Affairs asked in an interview with the VW and Daimler CEOs when the German car companies, including BMW even though that CEO was not present at the time, would make an electric vehicle that was even half as sexy as a Tesla.

My understanding from what I've read about the response

is that there was kind of a period of silence and then the topic switched

to autonomous driving and Tesla was never really addressed.

Nice to see the German Minister of Economic Affairs calling them out

because no doubt all three of those companies can do a lot better in terms of

the electric vehicles that they're

bringing to market. In other automaker CEO news today, Renault Nissan's chairman and

CEO Carlos Gone has been arrested after a Nissan internal investigation found quote significant
