but I think when it was tied five to five, and what a night for Shoai Otani, by far the best player in the history of baseball.

Nor did I know, I figured a few extra innings, that it would go

18 bleeping innings. In the end, won by the Dodgers, which takes a 2-1 lead in the series.

So Otani hit two home runs, and he doubled twice in his first four trips to the plate.

In the process, he became only the second player, says a reporter for Major League Baseball

with four extra bait hits, extra base hits in a World Series.

After that, said the Blue Jays man, you kind of take the bat out of his hands.

So in his last five plate appearances, he was walked five times, four of them intentional.

No player has ever reached base seven times in a postseason game.
