Summary

Brandon talks with Elle about her toxic relationship with a paranoid controlling abuser. It's a story of insecurities, conforming, sexual coercion, responsibility deficit disorder, recognizing patterns, and post separation abuse. Elle fell hard for her partner, quickly became pregnant, and that's when his controlling behavior ramped up for good. Plus they discuss, believing the lies you're told, devaluation, gaslighting, alcoholism, rage, changing manipulation tactics, enabling families, narcissistic mothers, custody, court, hoovering, being a single mom, surviving, people pleasing, walking on eggshells, taking your power back, and much more. Also, we had sound issues for the first 20 minutes, so the sound changes at that mark. *** TRIGGER WARNING - This episode discusses sexual coercion and physical abuse. *** If you want to be a guest on our survivor story podcast, please click here or send us an email at narcissistapocalypse@gmail.com To take a free Enneagram Test, click here.
