Hello and welcome to another episode of iWay with Jameena Jamell. I hope you're well, but I will

really understand if you're not because everything is so fucked right now around the world and

one of the latest places in which we've seen the attack on reproductive rights is the United States

of America in a place where we thought that it was not possible for Roe v Wade to be overturned.

Where we never thought reproductive rights would be gone after as hard as they are now. It's

unfathomable, it's almost so shocking that maybe that's how they're getting away with this because

we can't really believe it's real. And I wanted to be able to find you a guest this week who could

talk about it with me, but of course considering what an emergency this is, it is very hard to get hold

of advocates for reproductive rights right now. They're all busy fighting for all of our futures.

And so instead I decided to go back into previous episodes and bring back the episode with

Elizabeth Banks because she's an exceptional advocate for reproductive rights. And most importantly

is very knowledgeable specifically about the American system and what we need to do to be able to

stop this in its tracks and overturn it. And so I think it's a very honest and open and

unjudgmental and empowering episode about reproductive rights and abortion and women's health

care and the health care of all people who have butleresses. And I think that it's also what we

need right now is to just be given the information of how to move forward. And so she has organizations

that she advocates for and works with and she has details of how the system works. And so hopefully

the feeling of knowing that you have some sort of access to action might be an empowering moment for

you. And also if you are someone who has ever had an abortion or who has ever considered having

an abortion, this episode will hopefully make you feel less alone as I have been very open

my whole career about having had one and how much it saved my life and it was the best decision

I've ever made. And obviously not everyone feels that way everyone's not as quite celebratory as
