Republicans don't have the stomach for a nasty primary Bruce. They love you. They love Elise,

and they just want to beat Kathy. I don't like anybody but Mom Donnie, anybody but Hockel.

And the last thing Republicans want to see are two really respected Republicans,

you and Elise, killing each other, and also spending money to beat this lady when they just want to beat Hockel.

But Andrew Giuliani was on this show yesterday, and he was part of a four-person primary.

Of course, you remember, him, Lee Zeldon, who eventually won, Rob Astorino and Harry Wilson in their effort to fire Kathy Hokel.

They came up short.

But he said he believes that that competition is actually good that when people that

respect each other like you and Elise, it's going to be less biting, less punching,

less fighting, and more good talk over the issues.

Because I got to imagine, Bruce, at the end of the day, you and at least probably agree

on a lot more stuff than you disagree.

Well, first of all, I have a lot of respect for Andrew.

I think that he is a future bright star in the Republican Party.

I think he acquitted himself very well in the primaries.

But I will say this.

I think people who say a nasty primary is bad for the Republican Party are absolutely right.

It should not be a nasty primary.

If there is a primary, it should be one based on the issues,

based on qualifications, based on vision. And, you know, I'm not saying there'll be a primary

or there won't be a primary. I don't know. I haven't even decided yet whether or not I'm going to

jump into the race. What I'm going to do is I'm going to meet with people, talk with people, and if I feel
