David of Lorehound fame joined me to talk about Ethereum chapter and then my friend Scottish

0:35.6

historian Ian McKinnus joins me to talk a little bit about Ransom and Hostage Taking in the

Medieval World. Hey, be sure to check out John and David's podcasts over at the Lorehounds.com.

They're excellent podcasters in their own right covering some of your favorite televisions.

0:53.8

In addition to that, I'll be jumping on with them to talk about the Silmarillion

because they also do book coverage kind of like this podcast. All right, here are John and David.

David and John, welcome back to Boop, Galu. I'm excited to talk Tyrion with you. Yes,

1:48.0

but his own family is so inside the establishment and completely just pictures themselves above

1:56.3

everybody else and lifestyle. It's fascinating to see him sort of wrestle with

2:04.9

having all this privilege and also being rejected in ways that are more base, like love and

2:14.5

acceptance and relationships and it's why I think he's one of the more compelling characters

2:22.4

in the series overall. Even in this chapter, we see that he knows that being a Lannister is

2:30.8

better than anything else. He hates it. He knows he needs it and he just hates it. Right.

2:42.9

Like being born the way he was with a disability, he probably would not have survived well if

2:51.7

he was not rich as all hell. I think he says a couple times. He's like, if I wasn't born to wealth,

2:58.3

they would have left me on the woods. In this chapter, the sentence is, that was the way of war.
