We are back, well, we're kind of back.

Friend and resident mathematician, Patrick McGaren, has talked me into covering the Ice Dragon, which is a book that Martin wrote in the 80s.

And so is in a world adjacent to, we think, the world

of ice and fire. It has a lot of similarities with ice and fire. So we'll do an intro to that this

week. We'll do the first four chapters next week, and then the week after that, we'll finish

off the book. And then after that, we'll jump right into a storm of swords.

So my conversation with Padrault today is relatively spoiler-free.

We're just basically setting up the premise of the book.
