Hello, it's Adam.

So that buzz you can hear behind me is loads of journalists,

sat at a load of desks with their laptops out

in a TV studio in Kent, waiting for the big prime ministerial debate on the BBC

between Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson, which we will talk about lots in a minute.

But first I wanted to update you. Do do remember we asked you to send in your

examples of where the snap election had mucked up the logistics of your life I can

now reveal the reason we did it was because Greg James from Radio 1 Breakfast

wanted to find somebody to feature on his show. So they found somebody and we

wanted to bring you our favorite example that we got sent. We got an email from Jonathan Cox and

this is what he said. I'd booked tickets from me and my other half, the lovely Nicola, to go to a

Catherine Jenkins Christmas concert on the 12th of December. When I told her I would no longer

be going to see this concert because I'm a massive election geek, I was none too popular.

Long and short of it is, the tickets were sold. Neither us are going and I'm in in the dog house. I'm really hoping the fact that

I'm proposing to her today at the Christmas markets in York will somehow make up for my

pur planning. What happened? Listener?

She said yes.

We then got an email from Jonathan a few days later saying,

I can report that all went as planned.

I'm out of the election slash Catherine Jenkins hole that I dug for myself.
