Now, because of the massive effect that the pandemic has had on the economy, we'll be focusing a lot of our discussion

of President Trump's economic record on the pre-pandemic economy, especially as we discussed

the response to COVID-19 in depth on last week's episode. So with that, we will get right to it,

and we'll start with President Trump's record on the economy.

Now, I ask all of you to rate the president on his economic policies, which you did in your papers on our standard one to five scale with one being awful and five being excellent.

So who wants to start us off on how you rated President Trump on the economy, as well as why you gave him that rating?

I gave Trump a three a lot because it was kind of, I didn't really know how to rate him because

if you look at, based on a lot of indicators for the economy, it's been,

well, prior to the pandemic, it's been doing generally well under Trump.

However, a lot of that can be credited to the economy that Obama had when he left

office and that Trump inherited.

A lot of trends under Trump have just been continuations of trends that already existed

under Obama.

So it's hard to know whether, you know, how much credit to give Trump for that.
