My name is Jeff Buck, and I'm along with my coworker here at the athletic, Jordan Bianchi,

and we welcome you to our 2021 version of this podcast.

So happy that you have decided to join us for another year here on the Teardown.

And we are ready to roll through every week now with podcasts for the foreseeable future.

And so a little two week break there over the holidays, uh,

or one week break, whatever it was.

But we're back.

Uh, I guess this is a season premiere, I guess you could say.

Um, it was good.

The holidays were, well, the holidays were where the holidays were.

Um, but it's good to be back.

I'm looking forward to talking racing with you. And I honestly, when the calendar turns to January, you know, to January, to me, it really starts to feel real that Daytona's right

around the corner and then a new season is really kind of closing in. I tell you what, it's so,

it's so weird for me, like always in this job. I guess it's almost probably like a teacher

with summer break,

but my life is sort of dictated by the NASCAR calendar.
