There’s been a rising trend in recent years of using technology to better understand and optimize the human body. Through these tools we track, tweak, and train not only our wellness but also our ability to perform, and even use these tools as a means to increase our lifespan. We can now do all these things through the lens of the “quantified self”.
Today’s guest explains how his company, Hyperice, has taken the tools and technologies used by the world’s most elite athletes and brought them to the masses to help them “warm up quicker, recover faster, and move better.”
Listen in as Jim Huether shares the approach Hyperice uses to continuously develop technology in order to more precisely meet the needs of the human body as we come to better understand how it functions.
In particular, he touches on their new HyperSmart ecosystem which pulls activity data from their wearable devices and provides wholly personalized recommendations based on that data.
He talks about how the technology guides users toward behavior change in the most natural, human way possible, as opposed to the overly restrictive, one-size-fits-all approach that many coaches take.
