Today Mark, we're going to talk about how to document the performance of your directs and your communications with them.

And that's the question we get all the time.

People got all sorts of emotional stuff running around their head around it and it seems hard and

it doesn't have to be.

And you're going to tell us how that is.

Yeah, you know, I really think that it is.

It does seem very hard for people and it's not.

It's trivial actually, but we've made it into something that it isn't. We've got nine points we want to make.

It's, I think, be a long cast, unfortunately, but we want to cover the waterfront here.

So the first thing we're to talk about is documenting is really just

performance reporting guys and your job as a professional is not only to do the work but

also to report the work to the rest of the organization.

So documenting is a part of our job.

Now we probably mean something different than you do when we say documenting,

we just think of it as note-taking and that's why we're going to talk

about the fact that fear of documentation from some directs is just we understand

they feel that way but folks it, it's unfortunate, but it's necessary.

And the fact is, you're just taking notes.

The best way to document is something called contemporaneous,

which means basically at the same time.
