So I just wanted to let people know that tomorrow night

we are going to be doing a talk about like old old old these but goodies. We're going to do a live

blog on our website at commentary magazine.com. We're just going to have like what we will be

commenting through the night in a single post that will call something like you know election

night with commentary Christine Noah and Abe and I will be you know adding whatever it is that

we can add. I will confess that one of the reasons that we are doing this is that since I no longer

will write on Twitter. I got to have some outlet tomorrow night or I will go out of my head so

We're going to do something a little different today since this is the day before the 2020 election.

Noah last week you decided to take a trip down memory lane and you listened to the first or

the last podcast we did before election day 2016. Christine was not with us then it was just you me

and Abe and you were surprised to hear what was it you were surprised to hear. Well I thought it

would be a pretty mortifying experience so I just kind of shamefully did it on my own and didn't

tell anybody that this was going to be the case you know it's just kind of self-legulating for

its own sake. I almost never watched or listened to performances on media so it was a spur of the

moment decision but it really wasn't that humiliating. In fact it was a kind of heartening to hear us

game out all the scenarios and at least with an open mind or at least not being dismissive of
