Hello and welcome to Out to Lunch, the podcast where I positively encourage bad manners.

Not only do I ask my guests to talk with their

mouthful, but occasionally I tease out topics some might consider unsuitable for the

dining table. Oh yes, living life on the edge. Today I chat to someone who is equally at home in a

muddy field as she is at an award ceremony and a gown. Presenting everything from

Glaston recovery to the BAFSA's, she's had Radio 1 shows, presented top of the

pops, and has a podcast called Soundtracking,

where she talks to filmmakers about musical influences in their work. My guest is the delightful

DJ and broadcaster Edith Bowman.

Hello there, Edith Borman. I don't think we've ever met, have we?

No, we've definitely been in the same room various points over the years, but never been

officially introduced or had the pleasure of chatting so nice to meet you.

Obviously because you're in Gloucestershire and I'm in London couldn't do the normal takeaway thing.

So what I've done is I sent you a meal kit from a great American barbecue place called smoke stack. Oh my lord

It's I mean even just the packaging is impressive. It is pretty impressive. So this place smokeack does a lot of American barbecue. They do 18 hour beef brisket and they do 15 hour pork belly ribs and slaw and beetroot stuff and I loved it when I went and David Cardhoo I said could you possibly anyway?
