Joining me as always. David, we are on the eve of National Signing Day 2020.

And I will say in all my years of recruiting coverage this is the least stressed I've ever been

It is a yeah different it's different vibe with the you know recruiting pool

Not so big Miami not really super involved with a ton of guys, but this is probably the new reality of the early signing period, unless your school goes through a coaching change and there has to be some scrambling being done during the traditional February signing day. So yeah, still a little bit of drama for Miami, which we'll get into here later.

But yeah, definitely going to be more of a quiet traditional February national signing day than anyone's kind of used to.

So, yeah, you mentioned recruiting the signing day. We're going to get into that in the

second half of the podcast. What we really want to talk about is some staff changes in Coral Gables.

That's where we're going to kind of start. The big news was last week. I mean, we put out a podcast

and then like three or four hours later

Miami announces that Ed Reed is coming back home to be the program's chief of staff

David I'll let you give your take here in a second but for me this is a monster

higher I think for Miami and Manny Diaz, then bringing Ed Reed back home.

I would say the newspaper media, the other local outlets were all kind of clamoring for

Alonzo Highsmith to join.

Mani staff as the chief of staff. staff and Manny in my eyes kind of

one-uped him and got Ed Reed to stop vacationing and and traveling the world and

come back home to be a part of the program so what do you think about this because like I

said I think it's it's monster.

It's a grand slam hire. You know, Manny basically convinced, you know, arguably the greatest

Miami hurricane ever to come back and be a part of his program and help get this thing
