Step beyond the rusting gates of Michigan’s infamous Eloise Asylum, where more than a century of pain and hope still echo through cracked corridors. Founded in 1839 as a poor farm and psychiatric hospital, Eloise ballooned to a 902-acre, 75-building city of the forgotten, housing over 8,000 patients at its peak. Lobotomies, experimental treatments, and packed wards left indelible scars on the living and, some say, on the very walls themselves. After the sweeping mental-health budget cuts of the 1980s shut Eloise’s doors, the silence only amplified the voices that never left. Join us as former staff, historians, and paranormal investigators revisit a place where the lights went out—but the stories never did. This is Part Two of our conversation.

0:10.9	nobody can go in these buildings. They're just going to sit here. Do you remember specifically
0:16.3	what were some of the stories that were going around in detail beyond just oh unexplained
0:23.2	knocks or i saw somebody in the window any specific accounts that come to mind that you have
0:30.4	heard about the facility over the years and when it was vacant well um i my own first, really my first paranormal experience.

0:40.5	I was in high school.
0:41.3	I was a junior in high school.
0:43.6	We used to sneak into Eloise.
0:45.3	And there was probably 40 buildings still up at that point.
0:47.9	They didn't tear the majority of them down.
0:50.5	We'd park across the street,
0:51.9	walk in,
0:52.4	we'd go in the tunnels.
0:53.2	There's a vast tunnel system that connected all the buildings that would open up into a temporary morgue in the middle of the complex.
0:59.3	Huge, huge underground facility.
1:02.7	So we went to one of the big buildings.
1:04.5	It was around 400,000 square feet.
1:06.0	It was a J building.
1:07.9	Girl, I was dating the time when I broke out.
1:09.6	There's about five or six of us.
