How firm a foundation, the foundation,

ye saints of the Lord is laid for your faith in his excellent word.

He tried it all.

Every self-help fad, every pleasurable pursuit, every achievement, every ego booster, every feel-good, do-good, be-good activity

under the sun.

And you know what?

Nothing could satisfy him.

King Solomon had everything money could buy,

everything that power could provide, and every open door that man could pursue.

But in the end, nothing could fill the void in his heart. And of course we know and he

eventually discovered himself that emptiness is God drawing us to himself. You know the same

is true for us he wants to be our satisfaction and our highest pursuit.

When knowing and loving God becomes our goal, he fills that deep place in our hearts as only

he can.
