want to give our listeners a little bit of background about yourself and

kind of how you got started in this industry and then what you're up to now.

Yeah, yeah I like probably a lot of people listening to this podcast I got interested in fitness and nutrition pretty young. I was in middle school maybe 13 years old and I was in a lot of sports and wanted to you know on one hand I wanted to perform well my sports and of course working out as part of that and nutrition is part of that but I also wanted to look good and I think that that's why a lot of people end up getting interested in these kinds of things and so I would work out consistently and got into nutrition and trying all sorts of diets and a lot of it started out with the general advice of eating less and exercising more and I very much took that to heart and went through some pretty

extreme dieting at a pretty young age and it didn't go so well I mean it was always pretty lean

but I definitely was not able to put on muscle like I wanted to despite the hours and hours I would spend at the gym and with supplements and whatever else.

And so that kind of started this path of trying all sorts of diets as you know I continued to get older and went on to eventually
