0:28.2	we come to the middle of the week. Not much is known about what Jesus did on this day so many years
0:34.4	ago. Possibly he rested and prayed prayed knowing what was about to come.
0:40.8	We do know that one of his very own disciples, Judas Ascariot, was in preparation to betray
0:48.0	him. Can you say, betray? Do you know what it means to betray someone? When you betray someone, you expose them to danger.
1:01.0	It's the opposite of protecting someone or being loyal to someone. When you betray someone, you take
1:08.7	information that was trusted to you and you hand it over to
1:13.6	their enemy it would be like if you shared a secret with your best friend and trusted your
1:20.3	friend to keep your secret but instead your friend shared your secret with others
1:26.6	who meant to hurt you.
1:28.3	Can you imagine how that would feel to be betrayed by a close friend?
1:33.3	Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus' close friends.
1:38.3	He was one of the 12 disciples who had spent three years traveling with, learning from, and doing ministry with
1:46.9	Jesus. Jesus had trusted Judas with his friendship. But something inside of Judas began to change.
1:56.5	Somewhere along the way, Judas began to listen to the lies of the enemy. I wonder if Satan began to whisper lies in the ears of Judas that said,
2:06.6	This Jesus you follow is no king?
2:09.6	He is not the Messiah.
