I don't know what those white people in this country feel,

but I can only include what they feel from the state of their institutions.

Now, this is the evidence.

You want me to make an act of faith, risking myself, my wife, my woman, my sister, my children, on some idealism which you assure me

in America, which I have never seen.

Gary. We're also joined by Adam Griffin, who's a pastor at Eastside Community Church in East

Dallas, and has an educational background studying the historical context of racial division

in Dallas. Today's topic is East Dallas. This is part one of a two-part series, so make sure that in a

couple weeks when we release part two, you go ahead and listen to that as well. Adam takes us all

over East Dallas explaining the history and culture of the city. We drive to several places,

so you'll hear us talking in the vehicle and outside the vehicle a different time. And although

Dallas is one city, much of its history is exactly what was happening to many cities all across the country.

And you'll hear many stories with through lines from past episodes we've recorded.

So we're walking up on right now is White Rock Lake, which is in Dallas, they call it the crown jewel of the park system.

It's just a beautiful lake with like nine miles of walking trails around it.

But most people don't know the history of this area.

And this is the reason I like to start here or to bring people here to talk about.
