Summary
The Eastern Conference gave us a good old fashioned rivalry game on Thursday night when the Nets and 76ers faced off in Philly, bringing all the drama of their trade deadline exchange along with them. Pete, Mike, and Darius use the Nets big win as an entry point to discuss a competitive East playoff race, who their favorites are, and why it feels like as many as 5 teams could end up winning the conference.

| 0:07.4 | You're kidding. |
| 0:08.6 | That is really a compliment. |
| 0:12.8 | I was pleased to see you smile at the top bar show because once the game starts, you have a game face. |
| 0:17.8 | You don't smile much out there. |

I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And today we're going to turn our attention out east, where we had a very fun kind of old-school Eastern Conference rivalry game, an emerging rivalry. Very rarely in the NBA, |
| 0:39.8 | do you see two teams with title aspirations within the same conference make a major trade? |
| 0:45.8 | But they did. And this was Ben Simmons's first time back in Philadelphia. A lot of people came |

But then the booze got turned to the Philadelphia 76ers who got whooped pretty good by the, by Brooklyn Nets team that I think had lost, you know, 14 out of its last 17 games or something like that. | 1:17.4 | The NBA needs more of that type of rivalry and jawing. |
| 1:22.4 | Mike, you're as fluent on the entire NBA as anyone I know. |
| 1:26.1 | I'd love to hear your thoughts on quite the butt kicking in Philadelphia last night. |
| 1:30.3 | It was pretty quickly evident what was going on there and how much Kevin Durant and |
| 1:36.4 | Kyrie Irving and really the rest of the Nets roster, probably including Steve Nash and the |
| 1:41.6 | whole front office, just wanted to do a little, oh, okay, |
| 1:44.5 | okay, James. Yeah. So that was what that was about. I don't think I'm not reading into it too |
| 1:50.2 | much that this is like this is what would happen if they met in a seven game series, which I really |
| 1:55.4 | am hoping happens some as the two seven, which I do think Brooklyn is going to get the seven seed, |
| 1:59.3 | by the way. And the, it's really the top of the east do think brooklyn's going to get the seven seed by the way and the it's |
