What I tell you today is an observation, an opinion or a conviction that I have arrived at from the fellowship of alcoholics and animals.

I am going to have to keep it as honest as I can only because do your speeches sitting out there and he was there when this whole thing started for me.

And I have to keep it as clean as possible because my wife and daughters sitting out there and father Charlie is up here behind me.

The right hand is not what I'm talking about. I don't know when I became an alcoholic.

And how I became an alcoholic is a matter of who is making the analysis.

Now when I say I'm an alcoholic that means there's some things that I am not.

I am not an ex-alcoholic and I am not a cure drug.

And if there are any of the professionals in the crowd, I shall say for you benefit consider me an arrested case of lips and lenient.

But when I came to an alcoholic synonymous there was nowhere else to go.

I have been assured that it is not hereditary or there.

I suppose heredity and environment has something to do with it.

But I would rather believe that just falling down the stairs in the neighborhood taverns when I was drunk under the latrine had something to do with it too.
