That's a wrap on the 2026 draft, Ruby was a lot of fun this weekend.

It was a lot of fun. You spent all this time leading up to the draft kind of trying to, you know, guess what's

going to happen, predict what's going to happen. And then Howie just changes it all up year after

year. It's it's a fun team to cover because the GM will do anything with anybody at any time.

And he keeps you on your toes. He does. So the Eagles came into the day with a few picks and then they

have a tradeback at one point. They end up drafting five players on day three. We knew he wasn't going to

just take two or three. We knew he was going to try to get

some more lottery tickets in this draft, and he does that. So we'll go through these picks one by

Frank, and Dave Zangaro. So the Eagles started off this draft through with Mackay Lemon,

then Eli Sowers, then Markell Bell. Those were in rounds one through three. They did not have a pick in round four. How many picks was it between Markell Bell and when they finally made a

pick? I think it was 110. That is a long time. And Cole Payton was 178.

Yeah, that is a long time for Howie to wait.

He was asked about that long wait and he kind of shrugged it off.

But you know he was somewhere in the building or outside on the football fields just pacing,

trying to get himself to the point where he could finally make a pick.

I'm going to guess that Howie's step counter was over 10,000 steps just between those two picks.

I think that's probably a fair assumption there. So with pick 178, round five, the Eagles go for a quarterback from North Dakota State. How fun is that?

Where have you heard that before? And he's the fifth, fifth one drafted from North Dakota

State since 2016. And he said, but one of the reasons he went there is because they keep sending

quarterbacks to the NFL,
