As you reflect back, and as you think about all the couples that you two have sat with,

you've sat with so many couples over the years, what tends to bring harm? What tend to be the

agents of harm in marriage? Well, my first thought when you said that harshness and judgmental tone of voice

can certainly bring harm and shut the other spouse down. There are crazy things that

happened in our life, but when we have generosity and kindness,

we can almost go through anything. When it's contempt, even the small matters feel pretty large.
