It's really important for you guys to understand this. When you come home, let's say you go to work or whatever, and you come home after a long day and you drop your keys in the counter. And you

immediately start telling your dog about the terrible traffic in the commute and how somebody

at somebody at work ate your lunch we pour our

hearts out to them we explained why they can't have a bite of our sandwich and ask them how

their day was hey did you have a good day today how was the couch now we love our dogs and

because they are part of our family we naturally communicate with them the exact same way that we communicate with our family or our human members of our household.

So you have to understand that when we start doing things like this, your dog is confused.

Your dog is looking at you like, what are you talking about?

Treating your dog like a human when we speak to them is actually doing way more harm than good.

Now, I've done this bit so many times on social media and people get pissed off.

But as a dog trainer, I see this every single day.

And we think our constant chatter shows affection and builds a bond. But the

reality is, is talking to our dogs like human severely decreases their engagement with us.
