chit-chat podcast so we're not going to start with any of that stuff we're going to get

right into it and we're talking about some new developments in the Trump impeachment

trial the trial starts in the Senate on Tuesday going to be a lot of fighting over the rules and all that sort of stuff

But ultimately they're actually going to get into the heart of the matter the actual substance of the Democrats case against Trump.

And the big news, the actual real news, is that the Trump legal team, led by Pat

Cipollonian J Sekelow, has released a 110 page memo in the President's

defense.

And what's remarkable about it is, it's really the first comprehensive defense from the White House in this

whole multi-month impeachment procedure. Remember there was many complaints about process,

there are defenses on substance, but it was never all put together in one place,

and now it has been. You remember that a number of Democrats and their

allies and mouthpieces in the press have suggested that the White House did not do a comprehensive defense

because there was no defense to what the president had done.

Quote, Trump has no defense at all. That's from Lawrence Tribe, the Harvard professor this week, very

influential among House Democrats and impeachment Democrats. The case is

uncontested.

That's what Representative Hakeem Jeffries,

who is one of the Democratic House managers said on Sunday,

they can't counter the facts.

That's what Representative Adam Schiff, who is the leader of the House impeachers, also said on Sunday.
