When we were kids, it was called Green Chip.

You got the whole bag of chips, they're bigger now.

They sure seemed big to us back then.

We reached up about to the flap of the bag.

So that chip could have been as big as the world.

You can pour all the chips in the bowl.

Everyone puts their hands at five, six kids.

You know, their hands all sticky from playing at the creek.

Everyone put their hand in and they grab our tiny little fistfuls.

Back then, we felt like it was in our hands were all the chips in the world.

In retrospect, it was probably closer to four or five.

Whoever got the green chip, they're Irish. They're Catholic for the day. Of course, I got the green chip sometimes.

It's already Catholic. It's already listened to the Pope, said all my mother Mary's, went to do

apology with the father. Did the mass.

Did all that.

But you know what?

I would play along anyway.

I would say, oh, Shucks, I'm Catholic today.

I knew I'd be Catholic just as much as if I got a yellow chip.

That's what we got to do.
