with a lot of chit-chat. We want to just get straight into it. And today we're going to get

straight into it with Representative Chip Roy, who is a Republican

Representative from the 21st District of Texas,

and has served in the House of Representatives

for a few months elected in 2018, right?

That's right. Yeah, six months veteran.

Congressman, welcome to the Byron York show. We are talking after the House did a bunch of crazy stuff in which the

Speaker of the House called the president a racist and her words were struck and

apparently she was putting time out or something for two hours where the speaker of the house actually could not

speak in the house and then a number of Democrats who have been you know

itching to vote on resolution of impeachment kind of jumped in and

and have been pushing that. So we're going to go to the tough question first of all. You're

probably not going to vote to impeach the president? No I'm not. Yeah I think they

ought to be presenting something a little more significant and high crimes and

misdemeanors mean something. Yesterday was a perfect example of this. something

yesterday was a perfect example of the you know complete distraction that that is the house

of the house representative right now and you know you think yesterday what we did is we spent

time voting on to strike down the words in the middle about a speech or discussions on

the floor of the House involving a resolution to
