the passing of my father and i wanted to talk this through because this is really about alcoholism

it talks about my alcoholism and it talks about the alcoholism of my father.

They're intertwined because throughout my drinking career, all as I could think about was I don't want to get past that point where I'm drinking past where my father was when he became an alcoholic, that I could drink a certain amount and stop,

and that would prevent me from going over that line.

When you're thinking that way,

you're probably already past that line anyways.

So we're going to back up a little bit.

I don't, I didn't really know my father.

The last time I had seen him was December 25th, 1982.

I was raised by my mother alone.
