Hey everybody. Welcome to the Lila Rose show. Thanks for listening. I am looking forward to today's episode because we're going to be talking about the pandemic. Yes, the news around that, but talking about it from a larger perspective. So this is a you know many of us are experiencing a lot of the consequences of both the virus and the fear the

anxiety the chaos and then also economically many people have been losing their

jobs or losing their income. So this is impacting all of us. I did an episode, the last episode,

about six things that we can do to be at peace and to make the most of this difficult time to have a different

perspective during this pandemic. This episode is a little different. It is about exploring

and I'm going to have my friend Michael Knowles on exploring the larger dynamics

have play here because we are seeing some of the controversy.

I don't know if you've noticed it but there's kind of two camps that have emerged the camp of we need to

shut down or slow the economy indefinitely until we can stop the spread and

protect human life and then the camp of saying we should protect human life but at the same time we need to not be taking

such stringent measures or we should really question them because it's going to negatively impact

human lives by having economic consequences.

So the reason I want to get into this is because we do have our civic responsibility to vote,

to elect our government officials.

They are taking action right now, and I think we should do our best to

understand the larger context here even though we do not have a decision to make

obviously ourselves except to do our best to follow the law and try to protect

people, other people around us, and try to practice

social distancing and live by the different regulations that have been passed.

So this conversation is really going to explore some of those, that larger context around this.
