So we always sat next to each other and I came in one day and I had bought a 12-step workbook at the bookstore and it was in my bag. And I set my bag down. He's like, what is that? What book is that? And I was like, it's the 12-step workbook. I said, I feel like I'm going to have to sponsor myself, so I want some guidance.

And he looked at me and he goes, I'll be your sponsor.

And I looked at him.

I was like, what?

I thought we couldn't do that.

He's like, you've got to have a sponsor.

I'll be your sponsor. was like, oh my gosh. Like, it was one of the best days of my life.
