And our guest today is Conrad Black, among other things,

among many things.

The author of the new book, J Trump, a president like no other, a

sentiment I think a lot of people could agree with. And the first thing I want to do is welcome and thank you for joining us.

Thank you for having me, Byron. I've watched you often on television and admired your comments,

so it's nice to speak with you.

Thank you so much. Now there's a lot that I want to talk about in your new book and also I should say I should tell people that we're actually recording this podcast on a ship off the coast of

Scotland. It's late at night. Some wine is a man consumed but not enough I think to cloud any judgments a minimal amount by Scottish standards

So the first thing we should start off with is that you were actually in the news

uh... lately

because you received a call from president trump

uh... and if you could just describe what happened in that?

Yes, I had a legal complexity in the United States

that received a fair bit of public attention at the time going back to 2005 when a newspaper

company that I was the principal shareholder of, I've owned many prominent newspapers, including

the London Daily and Sunday Telegraph, the Chicago Sun Times, the Jerusalem Post, and most of the

daily newspapers in Canada and at one time in Australia also.
