study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Here on Searchlight we have been looking at the life of Samson.

In many ways this is a very sad story.

As we read about his life in judges,

we see a man who is controlled by lust,

given to anger, and a man of missed opportunities.

Yet incredibly, we see him in God's life. and a man of missed opportunities.

Yet incredibly, we see him in God's Hall of Faith

in Hebrew's Chapter 11.

Why is this?

Perhaps it is because of the way he died.

With his hands outstretched, a blind humbled Samson brought down the temple of Dagon upon himself

and 3,000 Philistines.

In dying this way, Samson portrayed a picture of what Jesus

would do for us and God saw that and commended him for it. As we join John for the

conclusion to this teaching, he is encouraging us to also look for the good in people.
