Hey everyone. Close your eyes. Picture a Dune. Today's book is Dune. I'm Kellynne Ersk, and I'm a comic,

a father, and after hearing very mixed reviews about this book my entire life, I'm happy to report

that after reading it for the first time. Everyone was right.

And I'm David Vance.

I've read this book a couple times.

One of those times I was in a relationship that was at a rough patch, and we were on a cross-country trip, and she kept wanting to talk about it.

And I was like, I'm trying to listen to Dune.

Dune asks the question, what happens if you create a sci-fi world incredibly rich in history,

ecology, science, and sociology, and then make every character the same.

And this is the book pile.

So I'm not crapping on Dune, but I do think if you love Dune, it's because you love the world.

It's not because you, like, want to be Gurney Halleck for Halloween.

So one cool part of Dune is that the Benny Jesuit can use the voice to force people to obey them.
