I have the distinct privilege today of talking the new movie, Dune Part 2, very exciting title there, Dune Part 2, with the managing editor of the Babylon B.

Thanks for having me on. I'm excited to talk about this today.

Well, we formed our own movie club here, and I saw a tweet from you a little bit ago, a couple weeks ago, I think it was, when Dune 2 first came out.

And you're a Christian, before we dive into Dune Part 2, in all seriousness, you're a Christian who loves engaging art from what I know of you.

You have an eye toward that.

We both want to do that morally, of course, and other things we could say.

But fundamentally, why do you enjoy movies and how long have you been tracking movies like Dune, too?

Oh, man.

I love movies.

And I think the thing, I guess maybe if you could distill it into one thing that kind of encapsulates why I love movies, why I love stories, why I think they're so

important, I would just point you to J.R.R.R. Tolkien's essay on Ferry Stories. And also some

conversations that he had with C.S. Lewis, you know, I love the way that movies, films, stories, myths communicate truth. I love the way that they can

kind of sneak past our biases and the things that we think that we believe to present truth

in ways that we didn't, didn't expect.

And, you know, Tolkien talked about stories and particularly myth as being a way for human beings to have a glimpse outside the four walls of the material world, a glimpse at

the transcendent.

And I love movies to do that. I, you know,
