A couple of months ago, I researched Celtic love stories for a storytelling program,

and I found very many, very beautiful descriptions of the beauty of women, but none of the beauty of men.

And I thought, well, that's basically unfair.

And, well, the Celtic warriors couldn't be that ugly.

Anyway, and at the same time, I was reading a book about Jewish folk customs in Eastern Europe,

and I found a very, very nice, highly heretical, cabalistic rite in which Jewish women recite a certain paragraph from the Song of Solomon over a bowl of water with flower petals floating in it.

And I thought, that's beautiful. That's really nice stuff. I want something similar for us druids to use and this is it.
