Megan Schuster, and we are here to talk about season eight of Drive to Survive.

I am joined as always by Spanors, and this show specifically is about episode one of season

eight, title New Kids on the Track. Spaners, how excited are you for the return of Drive to Survive?

So actually, like, I wasn't. I really. No, it's like I really enjoyed these first three

episodes. I think more than I've enjoyed any previous run of Drive to Survive. So I've been watching

since 1980 and I always kind of accepted that it wasn't quite aimed at the people who've been

watching F1 for a long time, you could almost have watched previous seasons

of Drive to Survive and then not watch the F1 season, but you could just enjoy the series Drive to

survive and you go, oh, that's cool, Formula One's cool, and you get this highly serialized story

version of Formula One. What they seem to have done this season is just a subtle little change

where if you followed

the season, including all the things like the launch events at the beginning, it just goes

another layer deeper and takes you there.

And I think that is much more aimed at my kind of generation of F1 viewer.

And I guess the people who came in because of

Drive to Survive and now a lot more experienced fans and know a lot more stuff and yeah it just

sort of it peeled away this this layer and it felt very natural and it felt like the insight

the fly on the wall kind of stuff that I wanted. Yeah. So new kids on the track

focuses on the new kids on the track. This is primarily an episode about our six rookies from last

season and also about all the drivers who've changed teams. We get a little bit of the Carlos

Science Williams initial days, a lot on Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari. We also get some shots from F-175, which I'm
