And on today's show, the Dolphins were in Chicago for joint practices against the Chicago Bears.

It was testy.

It was chippy.

It was hot.

It was a defensive dominated day on both sides of the football.

We'll talk about that and a heck of a lot more from downtown Chicago.

I am going to level with you guys off the top. I have had a horrible day. I got great sleep

last night. My kids didn't wake me up a single time last night. I went to bed at 9.30 last

night. But from the time I woke up, it just seemed like everything went wrong. I just deleted a

bunch of copy off my script here.

So trying to pick that back up with where I was in my previous notes. I also don't have access

to the second screen in my room so I can't track the recording while I have the script up.

It is difficult. But we're going to make it happen anyways. And I want to start with full transparency here

because another part that made the day sucky was I couldn't see a lot at practice

because they put you in a sardine can at the end of the field

with 50 other people just like you, journalists,

and you can't really see much.

So if anybody tells you they got notes on one-on-one pass rush and defensive line drills, they're lying to you because you couldn't see it from where we were. And I use that phrase very specifically because someone would say the same thing about the Dolphins offense having success. They're lying to you and I just don't agree with that either.
