With movie theaters still largely closed across the country, we're focusing on quarantine,

pairing films you can find on VOD, cable

television, or streaming services. This week, we're going to knock back two movies about

drinking, one vintage and one NV. What does NV mean in this context? Tasha, I'm glad you

ask. NV means non-vintage, so the opposite of old.

Ugh, actually, non-vintage usually means that the wine blends together a product of different

vintages.

Some sparkling wines, for instance, will mix in reserve or older wines with newer wines.

So that usage doesn't really work.
