If you have damage to your arteries, you’re at an increased risk for high blood pressure and clots, which can cause strokes and heart attacks. When you visit the doctor for these conditions, they typically address the symptoms rather than examining the root cause.
The root cause of plaque in the arteries is endothelial damage. Endothelial damage and inflammation are repaired by plaque, composed of calcium, cholesterol, and protein.
Arterial damage decreases nitric oxide levels, resulting in less control over blood pressure and an increased risk of clotting. Around 90% of heart attacks come from clots!
Sunlight is vital to increase nitric oxide. Nasal breathing and magnesium are also essential.
You can reverse arterial plaque buildup through a process called reverse cholesterol transport. This mechanism transports plaque in the arteries back to the liver for recycling. This process can be sped up with the help of the following:
•Niacin
•HDL cholesterol
•Exercise
•Fasting
•Low-carb diets
•Bile salts
Magnesium controls calcium, so increasing your intake can help to remove it from the arteries. Polyphenols protect the endothelial layer of the arteries, and vitamin K2 helps prevent arterial calcification.
Cacao powder is the main component of the best drink for your arteries. It’s high in flavonols and stimulates enzymes in the body to produce more nitric oxide. Roasted cacao has been shown to increase blood flow to the arteries, similar to the effects of exercise.
Cacao is also beneficial for your heart, brain, skin, and other organs and tissues in the body. It has an accumulative effect and can build up in your system over time.
To prepare your drink, combine cacao powder in a glass of water. You can drink it cold or warm. Add beetroot juice powder for an additional boost of nitric oxide and an interesting flavor. You can also add a pinch of sea salt and a scoop of magnesium glycinate for the most potent effect!

| 0:00.0 | Today we're going to talk about a very specific drink that can help you |
| 0:03.8 | unclog your arteries. And this relates all the consequences that happen when you have |
| 0:07.8 | damage to your arteries. High blood pressure, clots that can develop that can actually |
| 0:12.2 | turn into a stroke, and heart attacks. Now one of the problems that people have when |
| 0:17.1 | they go to the doctor is the doctors don't really focus on root causes. They're looking |
| 0:24.1 | at things later on the chain of events, like high blood pressure, like high cholesterol, and then |
| 0:30.1 | they treat those, but they don't really get into root causes. One of the big root causes for |
| 0:34.8 | placking in the arteries, especially heart attacks, is this thing called endothelial damage. |
| 0:40.3 | What is that? |
| 0:41.0 | Look at the inside of an artery. |
| 0:43.0 | There is this single layer of cells. |
| 0:45.1 | It's called the endothelial layer. |
| 0:47.6 | And when that becomes damaged, there's a cascade effect. |
| 0:52.2 | There's all sorts of consequences from that. |
| 0:55.0 | And one of the first things that happens is you get inflammation. |
| 0:58.0 | And then your body is going to come in and try to repair it. |
| 1:01.0 | And that plaque is composed of calcium, cholesterol, and protein. |
| 1:07.0 | So realize the plaque is really a reparative action from the inflammation that started inside your arteries. |
| 1:15.6 | Now there's another little piece of the puzzle, and that is called nitric oxide. |
| 1:20.1 | When someone develops endothelial damage to the inside of the artery, their nitric oxide goes down. |
| 1:30.0 | And now they lose control of blood pressure because nitric oxide helps as a basodilator. It increases more blood flow. And when we lose that, |
| 1:37.1 | not only are we going to get a blood pressure that's going to go up, we're going to get increased |
