But the driver's affair didn't end there. In fact, it never ended at all.

The old anti-Semitism gave birth to a newer more virulence sort.

So in France, in France people actually get killed because they're Jewish. It's the country where apart from the United States since Pittsburgh.

Most Jews have been killed outside of Israel

since the Second World War.

This is Simone Rudin bin Zakin,

the managing director of the AJC in France.

Since October 7th, but also clearly before that we've seen more of that.

We've seen more in terms of numbers.

We used to have years depending on the years of, you know, registered

anti-Semitic hate crimes between 300 to 950 Anti-Semitic acts a year.

In 2023, we had 1,000% increase,

and we had 1,667 anti-Semitic acts.

Knowing, of course, that most anti-Semitic hate crimes are not reported to the police.

In our own survey we found that 85% of French Jews say declare not to report an anti-Semitic hate crime for a population

that represents 0.6% of the total of the French population.

So it's substantial, it's huge and I would say it's structural because the reality is that for the past 24 years we haven't been able to go

below a certain number of anti-Semitic hate crimes, below 350 anti-Semitic hate crimes,
