Leadership expert Drew Dudley, whose

TEDx talk called Everyday Leadership, The Lollipop Moment, has been voted one of the top 15

inspirational TED Talks of all time. Drew has written a new book called This Is Day One,

a practical guide to leadership that matters.

Oh, it's absolutely my pleasure.

Thanks for having me.

Well, tell us how you became a leadership expert.

You know what?

By accident, I think.

It wasn't planned at all.

It happened as a result of the work that I was doing with the charity

here in Canada called Students Fighting Cystic Fibrosis. What basically happened is I found myself

having to train young volunteers. And as part of the process, we decided to start creating

some workshops and in the process discovered, hey, this is

something I love and decided if I was going to do it, I should start diving into how leadership

had been explained, studied, stood throughout history.

And I guess the rest is kind of history for me.

And it's been a heck of a ride.
